In Albany, NYSFSA is represented by Carr Public Affairs. Through strategic monitoring, advocacy and lobbying, and coalition development, Carr Public Affairs allows NYSFSA to maintain strong relationships with state lawmakers and shape public policy.

Several pieces of legislation are currently making their way through Albany's committee system. One bill mandates the need for assistant principals in all New York City schools, while the other mandates funding for the professional development of school administrators.
